The Age old Question:  What is the Meaning or Purpose of Life?  So many have contemplated this, and have also attempted to answer.  For Me?  All truth comes from the scriptures of the Bible, and funny enough, it actually tells us very Directly in Ecclesiastes 12:13 “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Biblical Truths:  No one is an accident. Not a single person is created without purpose. No matter what you may think, your life has valuable meaning; in fact, every decision we make has eternal consequences. So, In Christ, purpose is not a mystery — it is a promise. Hope is not fragile — it is anchored in resurrection. Victory is not uncertain — In Christ, God always ensures it. We are called with a high calling, secure in an eternal purpose, and destined to share in His glory — especially the day when the dead in Christ shall rise first. We Uncover our God-given purpose, Renew our unshakeable hope, and Celebrate our promised future for every believer who is …in Christ.

Word for 2026: Faith Resurrected

A word of hope and instruction for the coming year. We stand on the brink of great opportunity to show the power of God to the hopeless, but only is we stand fast and don't fall to hopelessness ourselves. Don't dwell on the trial, look through to the victory, elevation, and reward waiting on the other side of it. Don't be shaken, don't quit, don't loose faith or focus! This is a moment of greatness and you don't want to miss it. The storms and shakings will be loud and boisterous, but the power that God has stored up for this hour is more than sufficient. Ask and believe it. 

As in the Days of Noah

The Bible gives us a clear warning that has been all but forgotten by the world, and even most churches. He tells us what will be happening in the world when He returns, but to understand what he says you have to go back to what happened in the beginning to know what is coming. Truth really is stranger than fictions. From fallen angels, to Giants, to Demons, to AI and the Mark of the Beast System. The truth is not hidden. It's all laid out in the pages of Scripture from Genesis to Revelations. This timely lesson gives us an overview of all of it and points us where to look for a more in depth understanding.

Thy Kingdom Come

A look at where we are in prophecy, what's to come, heaven, New Jerusalem and instructions on how to stay courageous in the face of trials and tribulations!

In this chapter Jesus gives us a clear timeline of events that will happen right before He returns. From the beginning of sorrows, to the Tribulation, to the Wrath pf God, there is no room for interoperation. Simple truth for anyone willing to read it.

There's Safety in Goshen

Sometimes God sends you to deliver sermons in Egypt and sometimes He calls you back to the safety of Goshen. Don't be enamored by the grander of the pyramids and abandon the place of simple pastures. There is a time and a season for everything under heaven. Know what the Spirit of the Lord is saying, because obeying in safety when the plagues of Egypt are coming.

Servant-hood:  Have we, as Christians, sincerely speaking, got so deep in service to the cause, than serving Christ Himself?  Yes whatsoever you’ve done unto the least of these, you have done unto me, and charity is good, when it’s rooted in the character of Christ that is first birthed in the time of contrition and worship; service to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World.
Hi. I’m pastor Daniel Wright of HOWC, and this Sunday, I will be continuing our series called, “The House of Simon: A Picture of the Modern Church” with a powerful 2nd addition entitled, “Selling Out the Anointing.” From Matthew 26, we see a striking contrast: a woman’s costly act of worship toward Jesus called “waste” by Judas believing that the value of the sacrifice would have been better served tot he poor in charity, but was nothing more than his greed cloaked in disingenuous charity. So instead of selling the precious ointment for the poor, Judas sold the anointing by betraying the Anointed One.
The fact remains that true worship is never wasted, but selfish motives will always be marred by spiritual betrayal. 
Through this word, we are challenged to examine our hearts: Is our ministry first to Jesus? Or to material gain, or even “good works”? Because only when we posture our love to Jesus first, only then can we rightly serve others in love.

Remember the Resurrection

Reminder to think on how our story will be told before all at the resurrection of the dead.  May we make every day decisions based on that moment and not on the desires of the flesh.

The House of Simon - A Picture of the Modern Church - Part 1 The Untouchables - 08.28.2025

Did you know that often times, the very things Jesus did, said, or taught, were the very things the religious establishment placed under the highest form of scrutiny?  It wasn’t all because Jesus defied the law or the prophets, as some may assume; contrarily, Jesus came as the embodiment of and fulfillment of the law and the prophets.
This begins a new series called, “The House of Simon: A Picture of the Modern Church” with part 1 titled, “The Untouchables.” From Luke 7:36–50, we see a moment when a broken, sinful woman poured out her tears and her costly ointment at the feet of Jesus. While Simon the Pharisee looked on in judgment, Jesus looked on with love.
The challenge for today’s church is clear: If it were us as Simon, will we respond with pride and distance, or with humility and compassion? True Christianity isn’t about keeping our hands clean—it’s about reaching out to the ones who not many care to engage with. Evangelism isn’t always pretty, but when devoted fully to the leading of the Holy Spirit, it is always powerful. Watch as we discover what it means to walk in humility, restore the broken, and reflect the love of Christ in a hurting world.

God of the Living

The Bible says that our God is a God of the living and not of the dead. Reject the culture of death that honors satan and gain an abundant and eternal life with God. The saints of old and out loved ones in the Lord are not dead, they are alive evermore!

Are Christians Required to Support Israel?

Seek and Ye Shall Find - Part 1

Have you ever felt too far gone… too unworthy… too broken to even come close to God? How does it make you feel when you’re surrounded by so many who you might think, “Have it all together”?
