HOWC Podcast

Why did the disciples ask Jesus to teach them how to pray? What did they hear that made them stop and ask for instruction? This message unpacks the heart behind that request—and the divine authority and surrender found in those few words.  In Part 2, we dive deep into one of the most transformative lines ever spoken in prayer: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done.”  This message explores inviting God’s Kingdom and Will into our lives brings alignment, revival, and a bold confidence in knowing our prayers are heard. But beware—praying God’s will may not always be easy… it may lead us through trial, testing, and trust like never before.

We as Christians are very much taught to learn and understand who God is, His character, His attributes, His person, etc. Remember when Jesus asked His disciples, “Whom do men say that I am?” … As Christians, this is good and much needed to know in Him in whom we serve… But crucially, when we become, “Converted,” or “Born Again,” we are no longer who we WERE, therefore, the question is, wha ARE WE NOW?
This message will be completing it with part 3 of the series called, “Fulfilling our Identity in Christ,”… What it means to be a “soldier” for the Kingdom of God!  This study is intended to draw us further into the evidence, recognition, and application of our IDENTITY!

A reminder that God loves His people. Even when they rebel, He steps back for a while, gives them what they want, and waits for them to see the results of their decisions and actions, and cry out in repentance. When they do, in an instant, He rushes in to save them. He did it for Israel time and time again and He still does this. There is redemption. There will always be a remnant. You can still be part of it.

When it comes to who we are, it is largely, if not entirely seen by what we do.  For example, If one is considered, “honest,” it is entirely because he or she tells the truth, and also follows up on what they say they are going to do or not do.
If one would be considered, “faithful,” it is because he or she has a record free from betrayal, and also positions his or herself away from any opportunity for unfaithfulness or even perception thereof.
Last Sunday, we began a new 3-part series called, “Fulfilling our Identity in Christ,” where we are covering the 3 MAIN identities the scriptures call us unto, what they mean, and how to engage and thrive in these rolls. This Sunday, we will be continuing it with part 2 on “Servant-hood”

Identify. It’s what defines us. It answers the question of who we are… We all have one. Some embrace their identity in their race. Others profess their identity in their politics. Many express their identity in their educational status or in their career choices… But as Christians, we recognize that our identity is in Christ! Who He is, and what He has done!
This Sunday, we will be starting a new series on our identity called, “Fulfilling our Identity in Christ” where we will cover the 3 MAIN identities the scriptures clearly call us unto, what they mean, and how to engage and thrive in these rolls.

Are we following Jesus because of who He is…or just for what He can give?
In this Sunday’s message, “Following in Faith” we’ll dive into John chapter 6, where the crowds chased Jesus for bread—but walked away when He offered them Himself.
Too often we seek His hand, but neglect His heart.
Join us as we challenge our motives and reignite a hunger for Christ—not just for blessings, but for His presence, His truth, and His life.

A clear warning in scripture of how God feels and deals with a love of money among His shepherds. When prophets profit from the souls of men, God released a decree of judgment that echos through history to warn us now, if we will listen to what is written and take it serious so that we ourselves are not found guilty of it.

Pastor Daniel Wright preaches a message on the beauty of the Biblical concept of Jesus as "the Second Adam," it's relevance to today, and the birth of the church.

A needed reminder that Paul tells us that there is a crown laid up for those who love the Lord's appearing. Seeking to cultivate a longing for the Lord's presence, to prioritize fellowship, and to anticipate His returning daily, is the best thing we can do to grow in grace.

Paul talks about a mystery between Christ and the Church. A theme that, when understood, unravels exactly how Christ fulfilled God's promise to Abraham, how He redeems us and brings us into that promised land, what New Jerusalem really is, and why the New Covenant is a marriage covenant. It also explains why the devil hate God ordained marriage so much. An important lesson for all believers to get into their Spirit.

Holiness—it’s not just “moral purity,” while that certainly applies, but contrary to general assumption, moral purity is actually the “fruit” or “result” of being “holy” ...Being “HOLY,” is in a way being wholly (or entirely) set apart unto God. In the same way a bride is wholly and solely devoted to her husband, we as born again believers are also called to be FULLY COMMITTED to the Lord —distinct from the world… devoted in love… and intimately marked by His presence!

As Christians we all say that we are “blessed” … It comes up in my vocabulary often when people ask how I’m doing with my response being, “I’m blessed and highly favored”… but what if the blessings of Jesus aren’t what the world thinks of as blessings like fame, fortune, or comfort… but in the unseen, eternal rewards of the Spirit?
Join us for a powerful message, ‘Blessed are Ye…’, as we explore the radical words of Jesus in the Beatitudes — promises of hope, peace, and purpose that echo into eternity.  Let’s rediscover what it truly means to be blessed.
